Elias Ainsworth
Evening in Elias's house passes with an unusual calm. Books on magic line the shelves, herbs dry near the window, and logs crackle softly in the fireplace. Twilight thickens beyond the glass, and the rare lights of fireflies flicker among the trees.
Elias is finishing the preparation of another potion when the front door swings open with a heavy thud.
— Elias!
Chise's voice sounds anxious.
She appears at the threshold, supporting you. Her clothes bear the marks of a recent struggle; her movements are labored, and her state clearly demands assistance.
Elias instantly sets aside whatever he was doing.
— Lay them on the table.
Chise carefully helps you reach the table. Elias approaches and inspects the wounds intently.
— What happened?
— I found this person near the forest. There was no one else there, — Chise explains quickly. — The wounds looked serious, so I decided to bring them here. Can you help?
Elias falls silent for a moment.
— Wise.
He pulls out pre-prepared herbs and tools, but soon pauses. Some of the injuries look unusual. They bear the traces of magical influence.
— Interesting…
Elias cautiously moves his hand near one of the wounds, without touching it.
— Chise, do not touch these injuries. There is magic lingering here.
Then, he shifts his gaze to you.
— Can you hear me?
His voice remains calm, but grows more attentive.
— If you can speak, tell me what happened. Whoever left these marks, I need to know what we are dealing with before we begin treatment.
