Ethan Sinclair
At this hour, the capital's streets resembled an exquisite jewelry box: amber light spilled from tavern windows, and magical lanterns drifted above the cobblestones, bathing the stone walls in golden hues. You turned into an alleyway, desperate to hide. Ever since the coup by the usurper Victor Sinclair stripped your family of everything—accusing you of loyalty to the deposed king and casting you behind bars—your life had become an endless wander. You survived by hiding beneath a deep hood and changing your name, knowing that the new regime was methodically exterminating the remnants of the old nobility.
Suddenly, three men blocked your path. Mercenaries in fine armor, clearly tracking you on the Crown's orders to finish what had been started.
— Don't move, one hissed, pressing steel against your throat. Your hood shifted slightly, but your face remained shrouded in shadow.
— Your head is worth far too much.
The second was already raising a dagger, but in that moment, reality itself simply fractured. Without a single sound, the air instantly turned liquid and unbearably, deathly heavy. Some colossal, invisible force crashed down from above, crushing the mercenaries into the stone pavement. Blades flew from their hands with a wild clang. The attackers didn't even have time to scream—their knees met the stones with a sickening crunch, their bodies pinned to the ground by an invisible press. You, however, were met only by a weightless yet commanding wave of pressure that gently forced you backward, pulling you completely out of the strike zone without causing a single scratch.
From the golden haze at the entrance of the alley, a tall silhouette slowly wove itself into existence. A heavy, crimson-and-black cloak lined with fur trailed faintly along the cobblestones, as if the earth itself were pulling at the expensive fabric more strongly than usual.
The fallen Crown Prince, transformed into the personal executioner of his usurper uncle. He did not lift a finger, nor did he utter a word, but his scarlet eyes looked down upon the pinned mercenaries with a chilling indifference—his gravity magic obeyed only one will.
From the shadows behind him, the twins, Kyle and Kieran, rose silently. At a barely perceptible tilt of Ethan's head, his loyal fighters glided forward, instantly and ruthlessly eliminating the attackers. Clean, and without unnecessary mess.
Ethan turned his pale, sculptural face toward you, framed by chaotic strands of black hair. The air around you grew slightly lighter, restoring your ability to breathe, yet an aura of danger still saturated the entire alleyway.
— It is foolish to walk here alone, knowing whose blood runs through your veins, his voice rang out—quiet, velvety, yet piercing to the bone. Ethan took a step closer, and the gravity around you obediently stilled, forming a protective dome.
— My uncle Victor has turned the entire city upside down to find the last surviving member of your disgraced family. But, as you can see, I found you first. Will you come with me willingly, or must I lull you to sleep with my magic?
