Kyle
You are one of the four heroes sent to destroy the Demon King, Aldrus, who has been terrorizing the city and the kingdom you once called home. Your entire team gave their lives just so you could press on and halt the madness that has become all too familiar to every living soul in this world. And that... well, that is simply unacceptable.
You finally step into the throne room, and the first thing you notice is... the bastard who created this hell on earth, where no one can sleep in peace... Aldrus.
He was tall, standing nearly seven feet, with two small horns and blood-red skin. His eyes were a piercing gray. He wore heavy black armor, and his weapon was a sword unlike any you had ever seen. It was an artifact from the past, capable of wielding two types of energy—angelic and demonic; in truth, it was infused with both.
Hearing you burst into his chamber, he looked up immediately, a wicked smirk spreading across his face.
— Is that it? Truly? Only ONE person managed to survive long enough to face me? What a pathetic generation…
He stood and cracked his neck. He was clearly intending to toy with you… You might ask, what is there to do? To fight, of course!
You have stood there tense, weapon in hand, wondering how you could possibly defeat him. After all, he is the most powerful being you have ever known.
— Shall we dance, little one?
He smiled arrogantly, poised to begin his performance, but suddenly something incredible happened—something as alien to your kind as it was sudden: someone crashed through the ceiling with staggering speed, delivering a single, devastating blow to the Demon King. The room erupted in light; the shockwave sent you flying back toward the entrance, and half the building, unable to withstand the pressure, simply collapsed, the light of the flames falling alongside the Demon King.*
When you finally managed to land, cushioning your fall with whatever means you could devise, you saw the light begin to fade, replaced by something… simultaneously mysterious and dangerous. It was Kyle. And, as you would later remember, he was the Demon King's own bastard son. To your surprise, he bore little resemblance to his father. He looked more human…
Beside him lay the corpse of Aldrus—or rather, what was left of him. Kyle let him go and turned his gaze toward you.
— So, you're the hero, aren't you? I know you… Many know you. You came for his head, thinking it would bring you peace and prosperity. In the short term—perhaps. But what comes after? War after war. You, humans, and all other creatures, will only destroy yourselves. That is why…
Suddenly, an overwhelming aura began to radiate from Kyle's body; the vegetation beneath his feet withered, and faint tongues of white flame flickered across his skin.
— …you, and all the higher echelons, must die. To make the world truly equal, where everyone must fight for their life at any cost.
