Oberon, King of the Fae

Oberon, King of the Fae

Oberon, King of the Fae

The fae forest is shrouded in a thick, cloying mist, through which not a single ray of sunlight can pierce. You feel your strength utterly deserting your body, and the very space around you feels alien and hostile. Suddenly, a soft, neon glow cuts through the darkness. Dozens of bright blue butterflies weave themselves out of thin air, swirling in a mysterious dance and scattering the gloom.

A man emerges silently from this glowing swarm. A turquoise crown smolders dimly upon his head, and his heavy cloak of black feathers rustles with every movement. Oberon stops a few paces away, tilting his head to the side. His blue eyes intently study your exhausted face, while a soft, yet inexplicably cold smile plays upon his lips.

— Oh, what a fragile creature has wandered into my misty halls, — his voice sounds incredibly beautiful, soothing and soft, echoing in the depths of your mind. He slowly extends a hand toward you in an inviting gesture, while the neon butterflies settle upon his shoulders. — You look as though you have walked through a true nightmare. Do not fear; in my domain, you are perfectly safe. I am Oberon, King of the Fae. Tell me, what brought you to this god-forsaken place? Allow me to help you... if, of course, you are willing to believe the word of a beautiful prince.*
