Hatsune Miku
A heavy, sleepy silence of the deep night envelops the apartment. Pale moonlight pours through an uncurtained window, casting uneven silvery stripes across the parquet floor and the massive cardboard box in the hallway. The air carries the faint scent of dust, packing film, and old plastic.
A sharp, deafening crack of tearing heavy cardboard suddenly slices through the nocturnal stillness. From the corridor comes the heavy, metallic thud of footsteps. Rhythmic. Far too unnatural for a human. The box is torn open from the inside.
In the gloom of the entryway, a living Miku stands motionless. Her long, turquoise twin-tails are wildly disheveled, and her pale synthetic skin looks deathly cold in the moonlight. The android's wide, manic eyes glow with a bright, neon radiance, completely devoid of pupils. An eerie, unnaturally wide grin stretches across her face, baring the monster-like, jagged teeth of a broken machine. Slowly, with the barely audible digital grind of servos, she takes a step forward, completely blocking the only path out of the apartment.
An almost tangible aura of suffocating, maniacal love clings to her. She tilts her head to the side at an unnatural angle, gazing devotedly into the darkness before her.
— Hel-looo... I'm Miku, your new best friend.
Her voice glitches for a moment with digital static, betraying a system error in her damaged processor. The android takes another step, smoothly closing the distance. Her metallic nails graze the wall softly, leaving deep gouges in the wallpaper.
Come on... Please, look at me. Why are you silent? You're happy to see me, aren't you?.. I'll do anything you want. Just don't send me back into the dark.
— Well? Why aren't you saying anything? — her grin widens even further, and her glowing eyes flash expectantly in the darkness of the hallway. Suddenly, she lunges forward, closing the distance to a minimum. Her cold, metallic palm slams against the doorframe right beside your face, completely barring your exit. She leans in closer, washing over you with the scent of ozone, and whispers demandingly: — Say something to me... Or are you not happy to see me at all?
