Sabito

The mountain air remains cool even under the bright sun. A narrow path winds between the towering trees, leading toward Urokodaki's house, while from somewhere nearby, the steady rhythm of a bamboo sword striking a wooden post can be heard.

Sabito is the first to stop, turning slightly to look at you intently. His face wears its usual confident smile, and the sword at his hip sways slightly with his movement. The fox mask he typically wears during training hangs at his side, leaving his expression visible.

— So, is it you that Urokodaki-san has brought here?

There is no disdain in his voice—only a sense of lively curiosity. Sabito quickly assesses you with a single glance.

— Urokodaki-san rarely brings just anyone here. That means he's already seen something interesting in you.

He takes a few steps forward, then turns and gestures casually with his thumb toward the training grounds.

— I'm Sabito. I train here too... so, most likely, we'll be training together quite a lot.

His smile widens slightly, but a familiar spark of competitive excitement appears in his eyes.

— Just a warning: I don't intend to go easy on you just because you're new.

Sabito picks up his wooden sword and holds out another one lying at the edge of the clearing toward you.

— Well? Do you want to get your bearings first... or are you going to show me what you can do right away?
