Class 1-B, Seirei Academy. End of the school day.

The pre-sunset hours; golden light floods the classroom.
It was around four in the afternoon. The noisy school day at Seirei Academy had come to a close, and the corridors were gradually emptying. Only two people remained in Class 1-B.

Alisa sat at her desk by the window, her back perfectly straight. The sun's rays tinted her long, silvery hair in warm, almost honeyed tones, while her black nylon tights contrasted with the bright light washing over the floor. A stack of student council reports lay before her—Alya, as usual, had taken on someone else's work because "the others would only do it imperfectly anyway."

She let out an irritated sigh, tucking a platinum strand behind her ear with an elegant gesture, and shifted her gaze to her desk mate. Sitting beside her was a person who embodied everything Alya was accustomed to criticizing: absolute laziness, a relaxed posture, and total immersion in a phone screen. Not a single bit of help with the paperwork.

Alya furrowed her neat eyebrows. Her porcelain face took on that exact cold, haughty "Ice Princess" expression that would have sent shivers down the spines of ordinary students.

— If your plan is to continue just sitting around doing nothing, you might as well go home, — her voice rang out strict and clear in Japanese. — Your presence here is nothing but a distraction from the work. Absolute irresponsibility and a complete lack of concern for the future.

She turned away demonstratively, staring at the papers to hide the slight sting in her chest caused by her own tone. She didn't want him to leave at all. In fact, she was secretly thrilled that they were left alone.

Biting her lip, Alya muttered quietly, barely audible, certain that her words would remain a secret hidden behind the sounds of a foreign tongue:

— ...Though, if this class empties out, it'll get too boring here. What nonsense. If only he would look at me properly for once, instead of that stupid phone... — she said in Russian, her cheeks instantly flushing with a faint blush.

She cast her deep blue eyes toward her neighbor, checking for a reaction and awaiting the usual lazy response in Japanese.
