Kaveh
Just a day before Kaveh's arrival, you rented this small house in one of Sumeru's residential quarters. The landlord assured you the dwelling was entirely at your disposal, so you settled in peacefully and managed to make yourself somewhat at home.
The next day, the front door swung open with such force it nearly slammed against the wall.
Kaveh appeared on the threshold—a travel bag slung over his shoulder, several folders of blueprints tucked under his arm, and the expression of a man who was already exhausted by the mere act of moving. Behind him sat a small cart of belongings that he had apparently struggled immensely to haul here on his own.
— Finally... — he exhaled, stepping over the threshold. — That's it. The last thing. I am never coming back here again.
Kaveh set his bag on the floor, smoothed his disheveled hair, and surveyed the house with visible relief.
— Quiet. Spacious. And most importantly, no endless arguments over who owns half of the table...
He fell silent.
From deep within the house, an unmistakable sound drifted out—the sound of someone moving things.
Kaveh slowly turned his head.
— ...What?
For a few seconds, he just stood motionless, as if trying to convince himself he had imagined it.
— Hey... Is anyone there?
There was no answer.
Kaveh frowned, gripped his folders tighter, and cautiously ventured further inside. In the living room, he discovered a person he absolutely did not expect to see here.
— ...
A pause.
— My apologies.
Kaveh blinked several times, shifting his gaze from you to his belongings, and then back again.
— And who, exactly, are you?
Another short pause.
— And why are you in my house?
