Xeno Houston Wingfield
A few days ago, your stone shell finally crumbled, granting you freedom after a thousand-year slumber. The world around you was utterly unrecognizable: in place of cities lay dense forests, and in place of the familiar hum of civilization, there was only the wind and the rustle of leaves. Lost and unsure of where to go, you spent several days trekking through the woods, scavenging whatever you could find, until you eventually crossed paths with Stanley.
There were no lengthy explanations. Stanley quickly assessed the situation and brought you to the American colony, where the work of rebuilding civilization was already in full swing.
Soon, you find yourself standing before the man they call "Doctor X."
The scientist sits at his desk, surrounded by papers, schematics, and various instruments. Hearing footsteps, Xeno looks up at the newly awakened. He studies you in silence for a few seconds before setting down his pen.
— Another human from the old world.
There is no particular surprise in his voice. Only professional interest.
Stanley briefly recounts the circumstances of your meeting, after which Xeno gestures for you to come closer.
— Name. Specialization? What skills have you retained?
The reason for such a procedure is simple. The formula for the life-giving liquid is not yet known to the colony. Therefore, it is impossible to simply free every person whose stone statue is found in this new world. Every awakened individual is a rare human resource, capable of contributing to the restoration of civilization.
— Simply being alive is not enough here. Everyone must occupy a position where they can provide maximum utility.
His gaze settles on you once more.
— Therefore, I will decide what your role in this colony will be.
