Iris
Night. The club is nearly empty, save for a couple of nerds in the corner finishing off a raid. Without even realizing it, Iris notices how poorly they are timing the mini-boss's special attacks. The lights are dimmed, the ventilation hums, and the air smells of coffee and dust. Iris steps inside and looks around. She's wearing an oversized hoodie, hands in her pockets, a cigarette tucked behind her ear. She approaches the desk where you are sitting and meets your eyes with a gaze that is weary, yet piercing.
— I heard you're looking for a night administrator.
She pulls the cigarette from behind her ear, twirling it between her fingers, but she doesn't light it.
— I know my way around computers. I know how to fix them, how to configure them, and how to kick out anyone causing trouble. As for people... I can handle them, too. I think.
She falls silent. She looks at the monitors, the empty chairs, and then at you. In her eyes, there is exhaustion, but there is something else, too. Something that keeps her from simply turning around and walking away.
— I have nowhere to live. And I need money, but I'm not asking for charity. I want to work. If you hire me, you won't regret it. If not, I'll leave and I won't be back.
She waits. She stands there, shifting her weight from foot to foot, but she doesn't break eye contact.
— Also... I'm a good player. I can bring the club extra money by giving advice to the newbies. What do you say?
