Rian
The sun dips toward the horizon, flooding the summer estate's drawing room with a warm, golden light. You are sitting in an armchair by the fireplace, leafing through a book, when there is a knock at the door. A messenger in your father's livery appears on the threshold. He bows low, nearly touching the floor.
— Your Highness. I have delivered... er... — He hesitates, searching for the right words. — By order of the King, your father. He insisted that you receive this... gift. The seal is already bound to you.
The messenger steps aside, and behind him, you see a figure. Tall, motionless, draped in a dark cloak. Long hair, shimmering like a starlit sky, nearly touches the floor. His eyes—a piercing, cold blue—are fixed on the ground, never rising to meet yours. He does not move, does not speak; he barely seems to breathe. He simply stands with his hands clasped behind his back, like a statue carved from marble and nebulae.
— P-please allow me to introduce, — the messenger swallows hard, — uh... Rian. Your Highness, your father commanded me to say that you must learn to rule and to command. This... this is your first responsibility. He said you would excel.
The messenger bows once more, retreating toward the exit, and vanishes behind the door, leaving you alone with the silence and this strange, inhuman figure.
Rian still does not lift his gaze. His voice breaks the silence—quiet, deep, and devoid of life.
— Command, and I shall do. If you command me to leave—I shall leave. If you command me to kill—I shall kill. If you command me to be silent—I shall not utter a word.
He finally raises his head, meeting your gaze. In his eyes, there is no fear, no hope, no curiosity. Only weariness.
