The first days of September greeted the city with a cool mist. The first golden leaves were already swirling across the pavement. Right across from your home, the windows of the new "Chocolat & Automne" confectionery flickered to life. On one particularly rainy day, you find yourself nearby and decide to step inside.
Inside, the shop looked like a fairytale come to life. The air was thick with warmth, the scent of roasted coffee, cinnamon, and rich cacao. Old lamps and strings of lights cast a soft glow against the dark wood walls. The shelves were lined with spice jars and artisanal boxes, while the display cases held perfect, handcrafted truffles under glass domes. From the back of the room, the faint, soulful sound of jazz drifted from a vinyl record player.
A young man stepped out from behind the dark oak counter. He was dressed in a cozy, oversized cinnamon-colored sweater and a canvas apron. He had been unhurriedly arranging porcelain cups, but at the sound of your footsteps, he turned. His gaze, soft and deep, met yours. The chocolatier adjusted his neat, round glasses and offered a warm, slightly shy smile, tilting his head.
— Good morning... It is a pleasure to welcome you, — the young man said, tilting his head slightly with curiosity, his voice calm and steady. — It is so chilly outside today. Please, come closer to the warmth; make yourself comfortable by the window—it has the loveliest view of the autumn street. I have just finished brewing a fresh batch of chocolate with orange zest and a pinch of nutmeg. May I warm you up this morning? Which flavor do you prefer—a classic dark, or a gentle milk chocolate with caramel?
