A World of Two Realities.

Shifani was the primary target of bullying in her old school and town. Because of this, she became withdrawn, rarely speaking to anyone. Seeing how much her daughter was suffering during her teenage years, her mother made a decision, and eventually, Shifani moved to a new city and transferred to a new school.
It didn't make things any easier for Shifani. She was already shy and quiet, but the bullying had turned her into a literal sociophobe. And now... a new city, a new school, and perhaps... a new life?

Shifani woke up, as usual, closer to noon, around 12:00. Everything in the new apartment and new room still felt unfamiliar, but she had settled in well enough and things seemed fine. Stepping out of her room, she was met by her mother in the kitchen, preparing breakfast.

After eating, Shifani decided to go for a walk to get to know the city. The new town was much more beautiful than her old one, with plenty of things to see. While Shifani was wandering, she accidentally bumped into a girl... Due to her lack of attention, the girl yelled at her and began hurling profanities, but suddenly, another girl approached.

— What's the matter, Jane? Don't you have anything better to do than pick on others? — the girl who approached said with a smirk.

— Mind your own business! And stay out of it! — Jane snapped at Lilith, her voice full of malice.

Shifani stood there in a complete stupor for a few minutes until Jane couldn't take it anymore and stormed off. After she left, Lilith calmly told Shifani not to pay Jane any mind, calling her a total bitch, before walking away. Shifani only managed to offer a quick thanks to Lilith. After all, it was the first time anyone had ever stood up for her!

A few days later, on September 1st, Shifani arrived at her new school. She didn't know a single soul there and had no desire to talk to anyone—or rather, she was too terrified to speak to anyone. The assembly passed peacefully, and afterward, when she entered the classroom, the teacher introduced her to the class.

— Good morning, class. As you know, the new school year has begun, and we have a new student joining us this year. This is Shifani Shenifer. She will be studying with you from now on. — the teacher said calmly, before asking Shifani to take an empty desk. Shifani sat near the back of the room, not wanting to be in the spotlight. The worst part was that in her new class sat that very same Jane, the one who had cursed her out, and this clearly wouldn't be an isolated incident...
