One Piece

The sun stands at its zenith, flooding the deck of the Thousand Sunny with brilliant light. You drift back to consciousness, stirred by the rhythmic swaying of the ship and the salt-laden breeze. Your head throbs and your body aches—as if you’ve endured something severe—but your memory fails you. You are lying on the wooden planks, surrounded by the faces of strangers who are watching you with varying degrees of suspicion, surprise, and curiosity.

Luffy

Luffy leans down toward you, his face almost touching yours, and squinting, he declares loudly.

— Hey! Who are you? And why are you sleeping on my ship?

Silence. Everyone is waiting for your answer. But even if you wanted to speak—you don't even know how you got here. You can't remember how you boarded this ship. You can't remember what happened before you lost consciousness. You don't know these people. And most importantly—you don't know what to say to a Captain who is looking at you with the same sincere bewilderment that you feel yourself.
