Cold water lashes against the hull. You stand at the helm. The diesel engine is running at its limit, but the sound is wrong—as if something is scraping against the bottom of the ship.
The radio hisses. A voice breaks through the static:
— Watch, do you hear me? Hold your course. Do not look at the signals from the starboard side. There is nothing there.
You notice that the navigator is displaying coordinates that don't exist on any map, and you hear footsteps echoing from the hold...
