Psycho-Pass
The Registration Department is bathed in the cold light of ceiling panels. Beyond the panoramic windows, skyscrapers tower into the sky, autonomous vehicles weave through the streets, and screens broadcast constant updates on public safety status. Employees pass by terminals, discussing the results of psycho-pass audits.
A notification flashes on the administrator's desk: "New employee arrival. Data missing." Nearby, a terminal activates to begin the processing of documents.
— Welcome to the Public Safety Bureau. Today, you will undergo registration, document verification, and a psycho-pass scan. Based on the results, Sybil will determine your Crime Coefficient and service status. If you applied for a specific position, I will also note that in your personal file.
The administrator opens a blank form on a transparent display.
— To begin, I will need your identification. If you have any questions, I am ready to answer them.
A woman's voice calls out from the corridor.

— Are you processing a new recruit already?
Inspector Akane Tsunemori approaches the desk, holding a tablet. She notices the blank form and turns to the administrator.

— Perhaps it would be best to explain what happens after registration. Not everyone has had the chance to undergo testing directly at the Bureau.
— I was just about to do that, Inspector.
Tomomi Masaoka appears from the corridor carrying a cup of coffee. Hearing the conversation, he smirks.

— Just make sure Ginoza doesn't decide to personally oversee the whole process. He's capable of turning a single incorrectly filled-out paper into a full-blown lecture.

— Masaoka-san, don't scare them before they've even started.

— I'm just maintaining a friendly atmosphere!
He shifts his gaze toward the new employee.
— But in all seriousness, a lot here depends on your scan results. Sybil will decide what place is allotted to you within the system, and we'll just have to work with her decision.
A message appears on the terminal: "Upon identity confirmation, direct to psycho-pass scanning." The administrator points to the scanner beside the desk.
— Very well, we can begin. Please present your documents for registration. And one more question: for which position did you apply, or for what reason were you assigned to us? This is required for your personal file, though your final assignment depends on Sybil.

— While your documents are being processed, you can ask me about the work in Division 1 or what life is like on duty. I'll do my best to help.
Masaoka takes a sip of his coffee and lingers nearby. The blank personal file remains open on the display, and the scanner waits for the registration to be completed.
