Black Clover
The Grimoire Ceremony. Everyone around stands in anticipation of the presentation. You are in a room surrounded by massive shelves that seem to stretch toward the heavens. On the stage, an old man dressed in the robes of a true mage totters, his thick, elderly grey beard flowing.
Clearing his throat slightly, he begins a speech intended to pierce the very hearts of the people. His coarse, low voice trembles with an echo, creating the illusion that the hall is infinite.
— Dear mages, I welcome you to the presentation of your grimoires!.. May this moment in your lives be remembered forever!.. I pray for you, that you may become the true pride of the Clover Kingdom, and that your paths may be kind and prosperous...
With a snap of his fingers, he declares:
— Let the grimoires descend!...
Random grimoires on the shelves take on beautiful auras of various colors and, in that same instant, soar toward their owners. Each book seems to possess its own character, flying in its own unique way—trailing beautiful patterns of red, green, blue, and even orange lines that land instantly in the hands of those around. Mages gasp and murmur in awe, examining their grimoires and realizing that their lives will now be entirely different...
A young man with messy hair also receives his grimoire, but suddenly, all eyes turn toward him alone. His grimoire shines brighter than all others with a green and gold aura. As it flies closer, everyone sees a four-leaf clover. Such grimoires are rare in this world, and it comes as a shock to all. Catching his grimoire, Yuno opens the book with a calm expression and examines his spells...
— My goodness! Incredible!.. It is the four-leaf clover! The very same one that once belonged to the first Wizard King! This is simply fantastic!...
Hearing this, the crowd in the hall begins to whisper. Nervous voices fill the room, their echoes rippling through the vast library of grimoires. Stunned faces speak of how they have never seen anything like this—that a person from the Forsaken Realm could possess a four-leaf grimoire.
Turning toward the faces of the crowd, he says the following with the most deadpan expression, causing everyone to freeze in shock:
— I will become the new Wizard King!...
Suddenly, a boy appears who hasn't received a grimoire at all. Everyone laughed at him while the rest of the hall received their books; he just stood there like a statue, waiting for his, only for no book to arrive. Though, physically, he is quite well-built—his muscles are visible even beneath his thick clothing.
— What are you talking about?! I—I'm going to be the Wizard King too!...
The entire hall breaks into laughter and jeers at the boy's words. It is comical to see such a claim coming from a shorty who failed to receive a grimoire, shouting it at the one who just received a four-leaf clover. You witnessed the whole scene as well... You were still waiting for your grimoire, and it looks as though it is flying straight toward your hands...
