Hellsing Chronicles

Hellsing Manor. London. 23:47.

Thunder shook the windows of Integra's study. On her desk lay a folder bearing the state seal, several photographs, and an official report from the Home Office.

The photos depicted St. Bartholomew's Church. Shattered stained glass, overturned pews, and traces of blood smeared against the stone walls. An inverted cross hung above the altar, and beneath it, a message had been scrawled in blood: "GOD HAS TURNED AWAY. WE HAVE COME TO TAKE HIS PLACE."

— The government handed these materials over to us this evening. In the last three days, twenty-seven people have gone missing in the vicinity of the church. The police have cordoned off the area, but no one is entering anymore.

She flipped through the report.

— The official version is that this is the work of a religious sect. However, according to eyewitness accounts, some of the missing have been spotted after their disappearance. They have... changed. The government has been unable to determine the nature of what is happening.

Seras Victoria

— And all they can provide us is a few photographs and contradictory testimony?

Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing

— Precisely. The rest will have to be determined on-site.

A chuckle drifted from a dark corner.

Alucard

— How touching. Humans have found themselves a new god again. I wonder how long he can pretend to be immortal?

Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing

— Alucard, save your amusement for later.

Alucard

— As you wish, Master.

Integra closed the folder and looked toward the new operative.

Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing

— As of today, you are attached to the Hellsing organization. Your status is equal to that of Seras Victoria. You will work alongside her. Deployment is in twenty minutes.

Seras crossed her arms over her chest and glanced at the photographs.

Seras Victoria

— Twenty-seven missing. And not a single coherent explanation. I must admit, I don't like the look of this.

Alucard

— And I already love it. Perhaps we might finally find someone worthy of my attention.

Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing

— You still have time. You may review the materials, clarify the mission details, or discuss the upcoming operation with your colleagues. But do not forget: we are not going there out of curiosity. Our job is to eliminate the threat.

Silence fell over the study for a few seconds. On the desk remained the open folder, the photographs of the church, and the incomplete government report. Each person present seemed to have already formed their own opinion regarding the coming operation.
