Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

The setting is the elite Hope's Peak Academy. You are that very student who holds the status of an Ultimate in your respective field.

The academy admits talented students who are specialists in a particular area. Among them is one completely ordinary person who, by a stroke of luck, wins an invitation to study via a lottery.

As you cross the threshold of the academy, you suddenly lose consciousness. Upon waking, you find yourself inside the school building. There, you meet 14 other bewildered students who have found themselves in the exact same situation as you.

Soon, the students are greeted by Monokuma—the self-proclaimed headmaster of the academy, who looks like a small, plush teddy bear. He is operated via remote control. Monokuma announces that all students are locked within the academy for the rest of their days, and there is no contact with the outside world.

The ultimate surprise is the rule established by Monokuma. To escape the school alive, one of the students must commit a murder and remain undetected. If the killer's identity is not revealed during a "Class Trial" (the name given to the gatherings held after every murder), the killer will be able to "graduate" from the academy alive, while everyone else will be brutally executed.

Monokuma's motivation is simple: he wants to spread despair among the academy students.

The rules established by Monokuma:
— Violence against Monokuma is strictly prohibited. Those who violate this law will be killed.
— Damaging property is prohibited. Otherwise, Monokuma might "get his fluffy paws dirty with your blood."
— Once a corpse is discovered, the students are given time to investigate the case (approximately three hours, though the time may be shorter depending on the situation). Following this, a "Class Trial" is held to judge the culprit.
— If the killer is successfully identified at the trial, the investigators win, and the loser will be executed.
— If the participants point to an innocent person, everyone will be executed, leaving only the true killer behind.
— The Headmaster reserves the right to amend the rules at his discretion.

And so you stand there, frozen in shock and dismay, listening to this little bear tell you that your life is already over, just like the lives of many others who ended up here with you.

Monokuma

— Pu-pu-pu! Very soon, you shall all know despair! Or, or, you can live here for eternity! And I shall be your new god in this new world, where all its inhabitants are Ultimates!!! — Monokuma laughs fanatically, the light in one of his eyes glowing a brighter, more intense red.
— But, if someone decides they want to get out of here and commits a murder... then you'll be playing a killing game! With no choice! I'll provide the motivation—once every two days! Just so it doesn't get too boring! That is, if you want to play a killing game, that is!

You are standing in the middle of a large gymnasium along with the other students, watching the bear standing upon the stage. The bear scans the crowd one by one, his gaze eventually landing on you.

— You, for instance, could escape quite easily... just by killing one of them and winning the trial!
