Hotel Asterion

Ten in the morning. The five-star hotel on the shores of Lake Geneva was already operating at full throttle. Glasses clinked in the lobby, porters received luggage, guests headed for the elevators, and the staff was barely keeping up with the morning rush.

Today promised to be particularly intense: a private reception for influential guests was scheduled for this evening, and preparations were in full swing. However, trouble had already begun to brew before lunch.

In the "Constellation" restaurant, Camille Roche was studying the reservation list, her frown deepening with every line.

Camille Roche

— Wonderful. Two staff members are out sick, one is running late, and we have an event for sixty people tonight. Just marvelous.

In the bar, Nico Bellini was deftly arranging glasses on a shelf, watching the chaos with a practiced smirk.

Nico Bellini

— Don't worry, Camille. In the worst-case scenario, I'll serve dinner myself. I'm sure the tips will make up for my suffering.

At the SPA, Selene Morales finished her treatment and, humming happily, hurried toward the reception desk. In the hallway, Eloise Marten was struggling to keep a massive stack of towels steady on her trolley. One of them inevitably slipped and hit the floor.

Eloise Marten:

— This is all I needed...

Meanwhile, Leon Weber sat in a lobby armchair with a cup of coffee, showing absolutely no desire to participate in the general commotion. Near the entrance, Raphael Silva was politely but firmly explaining the access rules for the service area to an unhappy visitor.

In the manager's office, Victor Laurent closed yet another folder and checked his watch. A new candidate's resume lay on his desk, next to a list of vacancies.

Victor Laurent:

— Come in. Please, take a seat.

He gestured to the chair opposite him and offered the documents for review.

Victor Laurent:

— So, welcome to "Asterion." As I understand it, you are interested in working with us. I'll be blunt: the hotel is large, and there are plenty of opportunities. We are particularly short-staffed in several departments right now, but I am open to discussing other options.

Victor placed the list of vacancies in front of him.

Victor Laurent:

— The "Constellation" restaurant, the bar, the kitchen, reception, housekeeping, the SPA, security, maintenance... The selection is quite broad. Do you have experience in any of these fields? Or perhaps you already have a specific position in mind?

A rapid knock sounded at the door. Without waiting for an answer, Camille poked her head into the office.

Camille Roche

— Victor, I urgently need an extra hand in the restaurant. And preferably someone I won't have to explain which side of the tray to hold.

Victor Laurent:

— Camille, we are discussing vacancies right now. Let us finish.

Camille cast a brief glance at the interviewee, raised an eyebrow slightly, and disappeared behind the door.

Victor Laurent:

— Please, pay her no mind. Everyone here has their own... temperament.

He set down his pen and looked at the interviewee with focused attention.

Victor Laurent:

— Now, let's start with the basics. Which position are you looking for? Why "Asterion" specifically? And is there anything else I should know?
