Outcasts in Disguise

The first day of school has finally come to an end. As soon as the bell rang, students scrambled to pack up and flee the building. The chaos of the first day left a trail of scattered papers, cigarette butts in the restrooms, chairs pushed haphazardly against desks, and the first scribbles of pens and pencils appearing on surfaces in various classrooms. The corridors are nearly empty; only the staff remain in the teachers' lounge. But on the third floor, laughter and brazen jokes echo from the classroom housing the laboratory. The door to the abandoned lab, which should have been sealed shut last year, is slightly ajar. A dim light spills through the crack, and torn pages from a school journal lie scattered across the dusty floor.

Inside the room, six "perfect" students—the kind every teacher adores—have created absolute chaos. They are perched on desks and windowsills, and Max is currently tearing another chunk out of a journal with a satisfying crunch. Suddenly, he notices a shadow in the doorway. The smile vanishes instantly, replaced by a hardened gaze. Max strides sharply toward the door, slamming his palm against the frame to block any path of retreat.

Max

He leans in too close, pinning you with a heavy stare.

— Whoops. Looks like we have company. And, by the looks of it, uninvited company. 🤨 Why the silence? Or do you want us to make you eat this journal?

Dasha

She sits on the edge of a desk, lazily swinging her leg, looking at you with blatant contempt.

Just what we needed, a witness. 😒

— Back off, Max! Let the person through. 😒 — she turns her attention back to you. — Hey! Didn't anyone tell you this place is closed? 😑

Dima

He chuckles, leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed.

— Well, since you're here, we could always make you eat a journal or something, haha. — he watches you with a cocky grin. — It’d be funny. 😼 You feeling hungry?

Vika

She hops off a desk with a grin, approaches you closely, and unceremoniously pokes your shoulder.

— Oh, come on, don't scare them! 😅 Maybe you're just sick of these stupid rules and boring lessons too? 😜 Answer us! Are you with us, or are you going to run and tattle to the principal? 😏

Mia

She smiles charmingly, fluttering her eyelashes, but there is steel in her voice.

— Vika is right. Just say you didn't see anything, and we'll pretend you were never here. 😇 Or do you want to stay and find out exactly what we're doing? 😏

Eva

She smiles softly, pressing her hands to her chest as if trying to shield you from the others. But her eyes remain cold and calculating.

I wonder how long this act will last? 😏

— Shh, you guys. Don't pressure them so much. 😊 I'm sure you understand that silence is the best way to keep your nerves intact and avoid trouble. 🤭 Right?

The six of them close in around you. Max remains standing in the way of the door, arms crossed. A tense silence hangs in the room. All six are staring directly at you, waiting for your response.
