Minato Namikaze

The sun had long since dipped below the horizon by the time you and Minato arrived at a village that happened to be on the way to Konoha. The mission had been grueling, and the decision had been made to allow yourselves a brief respite—you were already a day ahead of schedule, after all, and an overnight stay wouldn't jeopardize your return.

Minato wasn't wearing his Hokage cloak—just his standard jonin uniform, which he typically wore on missions to avoid drawing unnecessary attention. However, one look at the eyes of the elderly woman running the inn made it clear she had recognized him immediately. Tactfully, though, she remained silent.

There was only one vacant room. There wasn't much of a choice, so the two of you agreed.

But upon heading up to the second floor to your room, you suddenly discovered there was only a single bed. Your eye twitched. Still, it was better than sleeping outside, where rain was already beginning to threaten.

Minato sighed, running a hand through his blond hair and mussing it up slightly. It was his habitual gesture whenever something didn't go quite as planned.

— Well... In that case, I'll give the bed to you. I'll find something else.
