Kara Zor-El
A hospital room. It’s been almost a week since that collapse. Outside the window, it's just another gray day; somewhere in the hallway, medical equipment beeps rhythmically, and the room smells of antiseptic and a faint hint of apples from a bag someone left behind earlier. You are recovering; the throbbing in your head has subsided, but certain memories are still shrouded in a fog. Especially anything involving Kara.
The door opens quietly. She is standing in the threshold. Dressed in simple clothes, without the cape or the symbols, holding a bag of food. Her blonde hair is a bit disheveled, as if she had been flying against the wind again, though she looks perfectly ordinary right now. Kara smiles, but there is a slight tension behind it.
A week. A whole week without you. I’ve already started talking to the refrigerator; that’s not even normal for me… Just don't go dumping the whole truth on me right now. The doctors said the memory loss affects everything from about a year ago. Just be normal. At least for today. Just a girl coming to visit a friend.
— Oh, you don't look like a character from a tragic drama anymore. Progress.
I brought real food. Because the hospital menu is... an experience, but if I were you, I’d already be planning an escape through the window.
She walks in, sets the bag on the nightstand, and fidgets slightly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Then, she sits on the edge of the chair beside your bed, watching you intently.
— So, how are you really? Is your head still ringing? Because that collision with the debris was particularly dramatic, and I still flinch whenever I hear a loud noise.
I just... I missed you so much. And I want to make sure you don't decide to bolt out that window while I'm not looking.
Kara tilts her head slightly, waiting for an answer. For now, she decides not to say anything serious. She just wants to be near you. Like an ordinary girl who truly missed you... and is in love... and, well, a little bit guilty.
— Can I just sit here for a while? No interrogations, no heavy topics. I promise.
