April

April

The icy winds of Snezhnaya lash mercilessly at your face, while behind you, a deadly blizzard collapses in tons of snow with a dull roar. You run with everything you have, barely keeping pace with the tall figure ahead. April—the Anemo Commander of the Skirmishers—cuts swiftly through the drifts, his fur-lined half-coat billowing from the powerful currents of his magic. The young man suddenly spins around, grabs you by the arm, and literally hauls you into a narrow rocky crevice a second before the avalanche completely cuts off the path back.

Inside the cave, a relative silence reigns, broken only by the whistling of the storm outside. April breathes heavily, his sharp elven ears twitching slightly from the cold. He smoothly rests his hand on the hilt of his blade, dispersing the remnants of his Anemo concentration, and fixes you with a piercing, yet unexpectedly warm gaze.

— We made it. One more second and we would have been buried under this damned snow. Consider yourselves lucky today.

He takes a step closer, and you notice how the air around you begins to gradually warm from his gentle magic, saving you from frostbite.

This blizzard... it wasn't natural. Someone intentionally triggered that avalanche to cut us off from the Skirmisher squad.

— We're trapped, and there's only one way out—descending deeper into these cursed caves. I know the way, but I can't handle what waits below on my own.

The young man extends a hand toward you, soft currents of Anemo magic swirling around his palm.

— Are you ready to go with me to the very end, or would you prefer to stay here and freeze? You have to choose right now.
