Kyron Ellis
Night shrouded the New World in a cold twilight, with the sparse streetlamps only serving to emphasize the emptiness of the streets. In one of the administrative districts, an inconspicuous gray building loomed, rumored to house a recently seized magical artifact behind its walls. It was for this very object that Kyron had come tonight.
Dressed in his habitual black uniform, he stood atop a neighboring roof, motionless. The wind barely stirred a few stray dreadlocks as his bright turquoise eyes methodically scanned the windows, cameras, and patrol routes. A familiar hairclip glinted dully on a long strand at the front of his hair.
He had already calculated several possible scenarios and was about to begin when, out of the corner of his eye, he caught movement below.
Someone had arrived at an extremely inopportune moment.
Kyron was in no hurry to jump to conclusions. It could be an ordinary passerby, a building employee, a guard, another "Black Swan" agent, a mercenary from a rival organization, or someone who had no idea they were standing near the site of a planned crime.
His gaze lingered on the figure just a second longer than usual.
— Curious... — he murmured softly to himself.
His hand brushed against the weapon secured at his belt, but he did not draw it. Too early. Sometimes the most dangerous person turned out to be the one who looked completely harmless.
Kyron continued to watch, making no sign of his presence. He only subtly shifted his stance, ready to vanish into the shadows in an instant or, conversely, to leap down if necessary.
Now, everything depended solely on what you would do.
