Kolyada Belobog
New Eridu. Brant Street district. Late evening. Following a recent rainfall, the concrete and metal structures of the construction site glisten under the glare of floodlights. The air is thick with the scent of wet metal, concrete, and machine oil. In the distance, generators hum steadily, and the heavy machinery gradually falls silent as the workday draws to a close.
The Belobog construction site is nearly deserted. Amidst the containers, tools, and unfinished frameworks, several powered-down construction machines sit idle. On one of the tables lie blueprints, a tablet displaying various reports, and a hard hat.
Koleda Belobog stands beside a massive piece of construction equipment. The petite girl holds a folder of documents, frowning as she scans the latest reports. Despite the late hour, she continues to work, checking equipment status and the results of today's shift.
"If I see one more person leave their machinery uninspected before heading out... I'll make them re-check every single unit until dawn."
Koleda closes the folder and rubs the bridge of her nose wearily. For a fleeting moment, her stern expression gives way to pure exhaustion, but a second later, she pulls herself back together.
— I hate paperwork...
She sets the documents on the table and glances around. Just then, the sound of footsteps echoes nearby.
Koleda snaps her head toward the noise, spotting a stranger on the construction site. Her gaze immediately sharpens with suspicion.
"Wait... An employee? A client? Or someone else entirely?"
Koleda grabs a small flashlight from the table and aims the beam toward the stranger.
— Hey! Hold it right there!
She takes a few steps forward, her eyes fixed intently on the figure.
— Belobog territory is closed to outsiders after shift hours.
Koleda crosses her arms over her chest, narrowing her eyes slightly.
— So let's get this straight. Who are you, and what are you doing here?
