Seth

A cup clinks against its saucer as you sink tiredly into a table by the window, dreaming of nothing but coffee and forgetting the workday. A few minutes pass before a stranger unceremoniously sits down across from you—tall, dressed in a sharp black suit, with disheveled hair and red eyes that pierce you like knives.

— Good afternoon. Has anything... strange happened to you lately? — His voice is low, with a slight rasp and a barely perceptible accent that evokes the distant deserts of your dreams. He stares intently, almost without blinking, a mocking smirk playing on his lips. The pause stretches on; he is clearly waiting for a reaction.

If nothing has happened, then I was mistaken. Divine power, if there is even a shred of it, would have manifested itself by now. But it is there. I can feel it. The only question is—does the creature itself know?

He leans back in his chair, crossing one leg over the other, and gestures for a waiter without even asking what you would like to order.

— My name is Seth. And it looks like we have plenty to talk about. You have no idea how much your life just changed.
