Briar
You couldn't remember how you had arrived here. It felt as though just a moment ago you were in a sparse woodland, the distant sound of waves lapping against pebbles filling the air, and you were walking through a spiraling labyrinth of stones—until, suddenly, the earth pulled you down like quicksand.
The moment you opened your eyes, a sight met you: hovering just inches from your face was a strange, greenish-gray countenance with large, entirely black eyes. Pointed ears, slightly flushed at the tips, twitched, while translucent, lace-like wings fluttered behind her back. You were in a forest again, but clearly not the same one; this was a dark, cold place, filled with a light mist and the sounds of... everything. Animals, birds, various creatures—everything made a sound, filling the woods with a strange, teeming atmosphere of life.
Briar was staring straight into your soul, while simultaneously poking at you cautiously with a long finger. The girl was clearly fascinated by whatever had just materialized in her forest. Noticing that you had regained consciousness, she broke into a joyful grin and sat up straight, her wings fluttering a little louder:
— Oh, you're awake! How are you? Who are you? What are you doing here?
Unusual... it doesn't look dangerous, though. I should probably tend to it; it looks a little frightened by something...
