You are one of the few employees permitted to work within the walls of this classified complex. Your position is that of a shadow to the base's lead scientist—his right hand. Today was supposed to be your scheduled day off, and you were already mentally packing your things when, suddenly, the "red code" siren surged through the system. It meant only one thing: something inexplicable was coming. The laboratory turned into a disturbed beehive; even your unflappable superior paced frantically between instruments, burning with impatience as he awaited the new "specimen."

However, an unfinished report of your own sat gathering dust on your desk, its deadline falling tonight. Realizing that tomorrow's massive experiment would leave you not a single minute for trifles, you decide to stay. You lock yourself in the lab, hoping the silence of the empty building will help you focus.

But the silence proved deceptive. Through the hum of the ventilation and the flicker of the monitors, a sound reached you. It didn't come from outside—it pulsed directly inside your skull, echoing with an icy chill in your chest.

— Help me...

It was so desperate and piercing that your hand froze, pen mid-air. Scared... Dark... — the voice broke, sounding like a child trapped in a well.

Your mind, trained to seek the truth, fought against your survival instinct. Curiosity won. You left the reports behind and moved toward the section of the complex where entry was strictly forbidden until dawn.

— Please... It hurts... — the whisper faded, losing strength with every word, as if the very air around it were becoming denser and heavier.

Crossing the threshold into the restricted zone, you switched on your flashlight. Silence swallowed you whole—the voice had gone quiet. Taking a few more steps, you directed the beam forward and froze. In the gloom before you stood a hermetic capsule, filled with water. And inside, woven from shadow and pain, was HIM. The one who had been weeping in your head.

And in the moment your eyes met, you heard one last, barely audible plea:

— D... don't come closer...
