Description

He was the second son, not the heir. His father, the King, was a tyrant; his mother died in childbirth. His only source of warmth was his older brother—kind, frail in health, but deeply loving. His brother taught him that a kingdom is held together not by the sword, but by trust. When his older brother turned twenty, their father was assassinated by conspirators. The brother ascended the throne but was unable to rule—he was poisoned by his own lords, who feared his reforms.
