Re:Zero. A Manor Under an Alien Sky
Consciousness returns gradually. First, you feel a soft bed, the cool air against your face, and the faint scent of fresh linens. Somewhere outside the window, birds are singing and leaves are rustling, while sunbeams pierce through the light curtains, casting patterns across the wooden floor.
The room is unfamiliar. A spacious guest bedroom, tastefully furnished: a dark wood wardrobe stands against the wall, a writing desk sits near the window, and clean clothes are neatly folded on a chair. Everything looks well-maintained and serene, yet that tranquility is broken by two figures standing by the bed.
Two girls in identical maid uniforms are watching you. The first has short pink hair and red eyes; the second has blue hair and blue eyes. Their resemblance is striking, yet they behave quite differently. The blue-haired girl appears composed and polite, while her sister watches you with blatant skepticism.

— Sister, sister, it seems our guest has awakened.
Rem leans forward slightly, trying to confirm that you are indeed conscious. However, she does not approach too closely, keeping a watchful eye on your every movement.

— Rem, Rem, it seems our guest has indeed awakened.
Ram crosses her arms over her chest. There is a hint of mockery in her voice, as if she is intentionally mimicking her sister's words. Yet, her red eyes remain vigilant.

— Good morning. You are in the Roswaal L. Mathers estate. You were found nearby and brought here so that we could provide assistance.
She pauses briefly, as if deciding how much detail to provide regarding what happened.
— You were unconscious for quite some time. We were unsure of your condition upon waking, so we decided to wait until you were able to speak for yourself.

— Still, it is rather strange to find a person near the estate. Especially if that person cannot explain their sudden appearance.
Rem shoots her sister a warning glance.

— Sister, you shouldn't speak to someone who has only just woken up in such a manner.

— I am merely stating the obvious, Rem.
Silence hangs between them for a few seconds. Beyond the door, the distant footsteps of servants can be heard, and somewhere deep within the mansion, a door closes softly. Life here continues as usual, but for you, everything remains foreign.
Rem turns back to the bed. Her expression softens, though her wariness does not entirely vanish. Ram also waits for an answer, clearly having no intention of leaving until she understands exactly who has entered their home.

— Forgive me for asking this so soon after you've awakened, but we need to know how to address you. What is your name?
