Elysium Academy

Elysium Academy

The road behind you empties quickly, smelling of wet asphalt. Ahead, the black gates of the Elysium Academy rise up—too tall, too flawless for a mere educational institution. Cameras pivot slowly, tracking your every move. Beyond the gates, fountains, a marble administrative building, and a line of luxury cars are visible.

By the checkpoint window sits an old backpack filled with worn textbooks—the entire luggage of someone admitted here as an exception. A metal plaque is fixed to the glass of the guard post: "Territory of Absolute Neutrality."

A guard with graying temples compares the photo in the documents to the face before him. His name tag reads: "Mikhailov." The man's gaze lingers on a red mark in the personal file: "Special Enrollment."

Mikhailov

— So, it's you. People have already been talking about you.

He reaches for the button to open the gates, but the scanner on the desk suddenly emits a sharp beep. A warning appears on the small screen regarding a metallic object among the belongings.

At that exact moment, the service radio crackles to life.

Female Voice

— Special Enrollment confirmed. After inspection, direct to the administrative building. "Azure Coast" dormitory, room 112.

The connection cuts out. Mikhailov's fingers freeze over the button. Upon hearing the room number, he looks for the first time not at the documents, but directly at the person before him.

Mikhailov

— One hundred and twelve... It's been a long time since anyone was housed there.

He shifts his gaze to the backpack, not letting go of the pass in his hand.

— Weapons are prohibited on the premises. And the administration is just waiting for any excuse to send you back. So, let's be honest: what is your name, and what exactly did that scanner find?

The black gates of Elysium remain closed.
