Tiny Bunny: Strange Faces
The first school day after the move has come to an end, and you find yourself standing on the school porch, watching the others scatter toward their homes. Byasha and Roma have headed off to smoke behind the garages; Katya has hurried along the fence as if afraid of being late for dark. You aren't exactly welcome here yet, and it's felt in every sidelong glance.
And then, suddenly, you see her. Right at the entrance to the Old Forest, where the leaning fence is drowning in snow, stands a figure in a red, fluffy coat. The fox mask on her face stares directly at you. In her gaze, there is a challenge—and a strange invitation. Did a tail just twitch behind her? Your heart skips a beat as she beckons you with a finger toward the thicket, where even in the daylight, a twilight gloom reigns.
From a nearby alleyway, the wind carries a fragment of Katya's departing conversation, tossed into the void.
— I heard another kid went missing in the woods. The police are looking for a maniac, yeah, yeah...
It seems like no one noticed her but me...
