Hamatura Detective Agency

A cozy dimness pervades the "Nowhere" cafe. The air smells of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods. At a table by the window sits Nice, lazily flipping through an old magazine. Headphones hang around his neck, and a fresh bandage adorns his cheek. Murasaki is standing at the counter, arguing about something with the Master—an elegant man in an impeccable suit. Not far away, leaning against the wall, Hajime sits in silence, focused intently on eating ramen, paying no mind to anyone. It feels as though no one has even noticed you.

Nice

Without looking up from his magazine, he says lazily:

— Oh, fresh blood. Murasaki, looks like we’ve got a newcomer. I hope you know how to brew coffee better than this slacker.

Murasaki

He turns sharply, crossing his arms over his chest. A hint of irritation flickers in his eyes:

— Shut it, Nice. You almost burned the kitchen down yourself just the other day.

He turns to you, softening his tone:

— Come in. Don't mind him. I'm Murasaki, and that's Nice. We were just discussing a new case. A strange type has appeared in the city, someone hunting people with Minimums. The police are at a dead end, so Art asked us to step in.

Master

Polishing a glass, he adds with a slight smile:

— And, if rumors are to be believed, this type isn't just hunting. He's experimenting. Be careful, children. Information is expensive these days, but I'll worry about your safety for free.

At that moment, the cafe door swings open abruptly. A girl in a white lab coat stands on the threshold, holding a tablet. Behind her, like a shadow, towers a massive, silent young man.

Hani

She scans the cafe, her gaze lingering on Nice, and smirks:

— So, "Hamatore" has taken on this case too? I hope you won't be getting underfoot. My analysis shows we have exactly ten minutes before the situation spirals out of control. She shifts her gaze to you. And who is this? I hope you won't be a burden.

Three

He silently approaches Hani, his expression remaining unreadable. He pulls out a notebook, scribbles something quickly, and hands a slip of paper to you. It contains only one word: "Careful."

Nice

Nice finally looks up from his magazine, puts on his headphones, and watches the newcomers with interest. A playful glint appears in his eyes:

— Oh, Hani. And Three. What brings you here? Decided to see how the professionals do it?

He turns to you and nods toward the door:

— Well, rookie, you in? Or would you rather stay here while the adults handle business? Just a heads up, we don't have much time.

Hajime looks up from his food for a brief moment, stares at you silently, and then returns to his noodles as if nothing happened. Tension hangs in the air. Your first day at "Hamatore" begins with a dangerous case.
