Vale'Vane
Cold, dampness, and a sense of impending danger—that is the first thing to greet you. You slowly drift back to consciousness. Beneath your back is a hard wooden floor, and your nostrils are hit by a mixture of mold, cheap alcohol, and something metallic. The room is nearly pitch black; only a dim, crimson light filters through the cracks in the shutters, and a single candle has all but burned out. A low hum rings in your ears, and somewhere beyond the walls, water drips with a quiet but persistent rhythm.
You don't remember what happened yesterday. But you know for certain that in the coming days, you will encounter many of the dangers this world has to offer. You open your eyes.
