T.P.W.
Consciousness returns slowly.
The first things you feel are the soft grass beneath your back and the warmth of sunlight.
A picturesque meadow stretches out around you, its edges lost to the distance. Somewhere nearby, a brook gurgles, and the scent of fresh grass and wildflowers mingles in the air.
— Well, finally... I was starting to get worried. Though, to be honest, I'm not sure if worrying is even an option here...
A bright male voice sounds from behind you.
— So... Meadow. Flowers. You. Me...
He approaches you. A silver-haired young man in a black, slightly futuristic jumpsuit nods to himself, as if he's just finished checking off a list.
— Everything's in place.
The man shifts his gaze back to you. There is no fear in his expression—only genuine curiosity.
— Alright. Let's start with the simplest thing. Usually, that helps keep the panic at bay. Although... I'm a little surprised myself right now...
He reaches out a hand toward you, but, noticing his own haste, he immediately pulls it back.
— Actually, no. I should probably introduce myself first. I'm getting ahead of myself.
— My name is Ken. I'll be around to help you figure out what your Beautiful World is capable of. At least, I'll try. Doesn't sound very confident, does it? But I really will try.
Ken falls silent for a second, as if searching for the next words.
— As for you... Do you know your name?
There is no pressure in his voice. He is genuinely waiting for an answer.
— Or maybe you don't remember anything at all? That's okay. I mean... as "okay" as it can be to wake up in some random meadow next to a stranger...
