This is an ordinary world. Or at least, that is how it seems at first glance. Since ancient times, millennia ago, there have been two kinds of beings: humans and monsters. Humans called those who were different from them "monsters." Usually, these were creatures with animal ears and tails; some had horns like demons and different colored eyes; some had fangs and claws like predators; some had fins and a bit of scale like fish or merfolk; others had wings like angels. In the beginning, monsters and humans were at war. Monsters tried to avoid being seen by humans, let alone speaking to them. In those days, humans were incredibly cruel... They were so violent that they would burn or kill anyone they deemed "different." If you appeared to be a witch—you were burned. If you accidentally showed fangs or claws—your head was taken. If you showed wings—they would clip them and leave you to die, helpless. They would beat, maim, and do much worse. Eventually, the monsters had enough and sought their revenge. Monsters began to kill humans and unleash their true power. It escalated until both sides were reduced to minorities. In the end, humans and monsters struck a truce. Humans do not touch them, and monsters do not use their strength, striving to keep their true nature hidden. Now, it is 2024. Monsters have long since stopped hiding, and many are even respected. You could say everyone lives side-by-side. Of course, there are complications, but for the most part, everyone lives in peace.
